When a coach isn't coaching. When no one is making the necessary instructions, corrections, or adjustments to the group on the flloor, isn't then time to ask who if anyone is coaching this team. What is the true role of a high school coach? To teach, right? To take each and every player and bring the best out of him that they can. When a team starts relying on one rather then the key five, when that one takes over on the court rather then using his other teammates is it not the coaches responsibility to correct this, to take the one out and let him see the others are capable to make this a team not a solo show. It is frustrating to see this happen on the court with a team that has talent, a lot of talent. Yet the coach fails to do his job, allows this one player to take the team down because he is young and trying to do what he thinks is right. The problem is he is too young and can't see what the rest of us see and the coach is not leading him down the right path. He is not doing his job. He is not improving this team like he should be, preparing them for what could of come next. Time to get a new coach. ~ A College Park Fan.
Coach Battle sure seems to be doing a good job thus far this season, with a 19-3 overall record and an 8-1 league record, fresh off the beatdown of Northgate in the game for first place this weekend. Seems there is a different high scorer every night, with Bruder and Cazares scoring a lot recently while Moore has been racking up the assists. With the JV team coached by his son undefeated and the frosh doing very well also , this second year CP coach looks to be doing just fine. Enjoy the DVAL championship.
