MCClymonds was allowed to play the game of basketball. They had refs that understood that this was a playoff game, not a regular season game. Mack looked good. They played "team" ball. When one failed to make the shot, another one stepped up or handed the ball to another to score. Total team ball. They were hungry!! Great job. I love Otis and agree, he is personable, even to strangers who say hi to him. Great kid. Good luck at SMU.

Mitty and Mater Dei had a total of 52 fouls in their game. How can anyone get in the flow, especially given Mitty is a run and shoot team. It was not meant to be for Mitty, but they ended the season 32-2. Six first place titles, WCAL, CCS, NORCAL and two for second place at State for 2 years. Nothing to hang their heads about. An off night for some of the players and others trying to be the show like last year. Mitty will never see this level of success again.

I saw all of these games. I watched the Mater Dei-Mitty game on video and was able to rewind & slow down the action. With the exception of a couple of Block-Charge calls these calls were all good calls. The coaches should teach their players how to play defense without committing fouls and adjust to the game that is being played. The refs were not committing the fouls they were just calling them AFTER the players committed them.

So you are saying the fast pace game of McClymonds did not have fouls, but the slow pace game of MD had many more fouls. Did you slow down all the games? It's call a playoff game, not regular season. Probably a Mitty hater if you took the time to watch all the fouls. Basketball continues for some of the players, not all. The most important thing is that they get a college degree and know that basketball was a thing of the past.
