Tonight's game

Kings (0-0) at Minnesota (0-0)

Tipoff: 5 p.m. Where: Target Center, Minneapolis

TV: Ch. 10. Radio: KHTK (1140 AM)

Head to head: The Timberwolves were among the subpar teams who posted victories over the Kings last season, winning the season series 2-1 on the way to a 22-60 record. The Timberwolves lead the all-time series 39-35. Bouncing back against Minnesota might prove difficult for the Kings, who will be without starting center Brad Miller and sixth man Francisco García. Miller will begin serving a five-game suspension for violating the NBA's anti-drug policy, and García is nursing a calf injury.

Timberwolves update: Minnesota went 6-2 in the exhibition season. Rookie Kevin Love looks to bolster the team's frontcourt, joining Al Jefferson, who averaged career highs of 21 points and 11.1 rebounds last season.

Timberwolves injuries: C Jason Collins (right elbow surgery, out).

Kings injuries: SG-SF Francisco García (right calf strain, out).
