Here are my predictions and then a team by team recap:
#1 Monte Vista 12-0
#2 Foothill 8-4
#3 Amador Valley 8-4
#4 Cal 7-5
#5 SRV 5-7
#6 Granada 2-10
#7 Livermore 0-12
Monte Vista simply has too much. 6'7" Cam Fenley in the post (all league last year) and Brian BarBour (2nd team all league last year) at the pt and transfer (DLS) Sean Brewster at the 2. Add McAllister, Allen and Ertz (when he gets back from injury) and you have the strongest starting group in the league by far. They also have some depth off the bench.
Foothill has Scott Clark and then a group of pretty good but not great players. Elandu Nnambi is very athletic but lacks offensive skills. They play hare, are well coached and will be in every game.
Amadore Valley had 6'10 Kevin Lau who is the most inspirational player in the league (if you don't know his story go watch a game!). Mike Vanderhorst can get hot from the perimeter, but also can go cold. they have a group of juniors coming up who went undefeated as freshman and JV players. They shold be good, but will not go undefeated.
Cal lost their best player (Gory) to football injury. Downs is their big man, but his strength is rebounding, defense. Witzig can put it up from outside. After that they are a big question mark but they play with heart and their gym gets them 2-3 wins that they might not have gotten.
SRV has no size. Brenton Thomas is athletic, but under sized and lacks an outside shot. Davies is the sharp shooter and they have another youngster coming up (I think his name is Cleary) who can shoot and drive. But they will get killed on the boards.
Granada has the Bueno brothers and they are decent, but they have little support and simply cannot carry the load.
Livermore really needs to get into another league.
not to nitpick but it's taylor brewster from dls.
